The Divine Story

The genesis of this sacred temple traces back to a divine instruction received by Dr. Sangeeta Shankar, the renowned violinist. A 'Saadhaka' (a Spiritual Master) guided her to construct a Shiva temple within the premises of Swarasadhana Tapovan - the Gurukul.

With unwavering devotion and through intense dharana (meditation) on the Shivalinga, Dr. Sangeeta Shankar embarked on this sacred mission supported by her husband Shankar Devraj and mother Padmabhushan Dr.N.Rajam. The entire journey was blessed by the Almighty, culminating in the creation of this extraordinary temple.

The temple stands as a testament to faith, devotion, and divine grace. Every aspect of its creation was guided by higher consciousness, from the selection of the rare blue sapphire to the architectural design that harmonizes with the natural surroundings.

This sacred space represents not just a place of worship, but a bridge between the earthly and divine realms, where seekers can experience the profound presence of Lord Neelakantha.
